OUR SERVICES
We serve both private clients and professionals.
For private clients, we offer the entire spectrum of support and guidance whether you seek to acquire your very first collectible motor car, a seasoned collector seeking the best-qualified and best-considered independent professional counsel, or simply advice about selling.
For professionals, we can provide you with services from inspection and valuation to handling sales on behalf of solicitors, executors, family offices and fiduciaries, art advisory, banks and finance houses, official administrators and receivers.
We can fulfil your every motor car collection need, from first purchase to executor’s sale, and all else in between.
THINKING OF SELLING?
MAXIMISE THE VALUE OF YOUR CAR
Deciding how, when and with whom to sell can be a daunting proposition. With almost 40 years experience in the business, we are well qualified to advise you. Different routes are available and, as a consultant to Bonhams, I can also provide you with unrivalled access to a global spectrum of sales, from live to digital auctions. Should sale by auction not be the preferred or recommended route, such other methods as private treaty sales can equally be discussed.
VALUATION
With over 37 years experience in the collectors car market, we can provide an accurate and honest assessment of your car. All estimates of value are provided free of charge to potential sellers
AUCTION
Bonhams schedule motor car auctions globally throughout the year. We can advise impartially which auction would be the best suited to your car with the view of maximising the ultimate sale price
PRIVATE SALE
When appropriate we can discretely negotiate the sale of your car directly to a buyer. Or we can assist with placing your car with the most appropriate specialist dealer
LOGISTICS
We can arrange all logistics including photography, marketing, transport, shipping and storage
THINKING OF BUYING?
SECURE THE CAR YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED
Backed by our decades of auction-industry experience, and with our specialist knowledge of where some of the world’s greatest motor cars reside, we can source the right one for you. We can also advise – and act upon your mandate – on private sales and auction acquisitions for both short- and long-term collecting strategies.
SEARCH
What are you looking for?
We can discuss your budget and then determine what’s available. We can distill what is on offer and create a shortlist that matches your requirements. We can then prioritise the target vehicles.
VALUATION
As your agent, we would undertake an inspection and assess condition, originality and provenance.
A report will be provided to you and we are ready to engage on your behalf should you wish.
NEGOTIATION
Having negotiated the consignment of 1,000s of cars during my career, we are well placed to act on your behalf to secure the very best price.
Equally, if the motor car is in an auction, we can take your instruction and bid as your agent
ACQUISITION
We can act as a conduit between the seller and you, the buyer. This can include escrow accounts and being on site to ensure a smooth handover of motor car, history file and any spares.
As part of the process, we can arrange transport and insurance logistics for total peace of mind
PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
HELPING YOU BUILD THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION
No matter how big or small, each collection is incredibly important. We will work with you to understand your needs and requirements, providing bespoke curatorial advice that includes enhancing, refining, financing, acquisition, disposal, future preservation, restoration or ultimate dispersal.
